Christine Stott never could quite decide what to do when she left
school. She has considered many careers: artist (she couldn’t
draw very well); lawyer (she wasn’t serious enough); journalist
(she wasn’t nosy enough). She had many jobs, but it wasn’t until
she was inspired to write ‘The Very Strange Adventures of Magda
Mae’ that she finally found the right thing for her to do.
Christine lives in Somerset with her husband and three children.

Luke Wakefield currently lives in Somerset. Since graduating
from the North Wales School of Design in 2003 he has been
working as a freelance illustrator.
When he isn’t painting and drawing Luke likes to play guitar.
